Centered on dynamically matching the water demand patterns of plants at different growth stages, the Soil Moisture Monitor creates a stable and suitable water environment by accurately recording soil moisture changes, thus avoiding the impacts of supply-demand imbalance. For instance, it determines the timing and volume of water replenishment based on the water requirements of stages such as seed germination, seedling growth, and flowering-fruiting, ensuring the needs of each stage are met.

It can also set moisture thresholds to track water content in real time. When the threshold is exceeded, it issues alerts for drainage or water replenishment, preventing problems like plant wilting and root rot.

Maintaining appropriate soil moisture in this way provides conditions for the dissolution and absorption of nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, resolving nutrient absorption barriers.

The system continuously monitors key indicators such as water content and temperature of soil at different depths below the surface, with timely data updates. This completely eliminates the problems of traditional manual measurement, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, error-prone, and lagging. Collected data is uploaded to the cloud platform in real time via wireless transmission technology, allowing staff to check soil moisture dynamics anytime through computer terminals or mobile mini-programs without traveling back and forth to the fields.

The cloud platform links local weather forecasts and crop growth cycle data, and generates personalized soil moisture change curves and irrigation recommendations based on the water demand characteristics of different crops during the seedling, growth, and maturity stages. When soil water content falls below the preset threshold, it immediately sends warnings via SMS or APP notifications to remind farmers to replenish water in a timely manner; when water content is too high, it simultaneously prompts drainage to prevent waterlogging. This fundamentally solves the long-standing blindness of irrigation that relies on "experience" and "feeling".

In thousand-mu large-scale farmlands, it can link with intelligent irrigation equipment to achieve precise water replenishment in different regions. Compared with traditional flood irrigation, this method significantly saves water, reduces fertilizer loss, and markedly increases crop yields. In planting bases for cash crops such as strawberries and grapes, precise control of soil moisture in the root zone effectively reduces the incidence of pests and diseases like root rot, and notably improves the rate of high-quality agricultural products. The long-term accumulated soil moisture data on the cloud platform can also provide reliable scientific basis for agricultural departments to formulate production plans and carry out soil improvement.
