This water level monitoring device employs K-band planar radar technology to conduct non-contact hydrological monitoring, simultaneously capturing water level and rainfall data. It is well-suited for applications such as flood control in river channels and drainage pipe networks. The system is unaffected by sediment or floating debris and is powered by solar energy, ensuring stable, long-term operation.

As a fully automated, online hydrological monitoring instrument, this device leverages mature microwave radar technology to simultaneously collect data on water levels within channels and local rainfall. Using a planar radar antenna, the device performs non-contact measurements of water levels and precipitation. Built-in algorithms process the captured signals to output stable, real-time monitoring data. Furthermore, by integrating cross-sectional parameters, the device can calculate flow rates, meeting the requirements for non-contact flow monitoring.

The device is designed for a wide range of environments, including rivers, lakes, reservoir sluice gates, irrigation canals, and underground drainage networks. It is also applicable to urban water supply, sewage monitoring, and drainage flow statistics, providing reliable data support for flood early warning systems and water treatment operations. The unit features a compact design and low power consumption, requiring minimal installation and maintenance effort. The measurement process is highly resistant to environmental interference; factors such as temperature fluctuations, water vapor, sediment, floating debris, foam, or corrosive substances do not significantly affect the results, making it ideal for continuous, long-term operation in complex outdoor aquatic environments.

The water level measurement range spans from 0.1 to 40 meters, with an accuracy of ±1 mm and a resolution of 1 mm. Data acquisition intervals can be configured between 1 and 5,000 minutes. The rainfall monitoring module features a 200 mm collection aperture, a rainfall intensity measurement range of 0 to 4 mm/min, an accuracy of ±0.2 mm, and a resolution of 0.2 mm. The system is powered by a combination of solar panels and a rechargeable battery, allowing for continuous operation in remote field locations without access to the electrical grid. Accompanying configuration software enables on-site parameter adjustments, allowing operators to modify device settings based on the specific conditions of different river channels or pipe networks, thereby offering the flexibility to adapt to various hydrological monitoring tasks.
