Equipped with water quality sensors, a data acquisition instrument, and a 4G communication module, the buoy-based online water quality monitoring station can operate immediately upon deployment in the water body. It can monitor indicators such as water temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen, and remotely upload monitoring data, making it suitable for water environment management in reservoirs, rivers, and other water bodies.
The buoy-based online water quality monitoring station is an unattended water quality acquisition system. The entire system is integrated onto a buoy carrier and placed in the target monitoring water body. Installation and deployment can be completed without hoisting. The equipment has a high degree of integration and can operate stably in outdoor waters for extended periods. The entire system consists of six parts: water quality sensors, a data acquisition instrument, a communication system, a power supply system, an overall support frame, and a water quality monitoring platform. The standard sensors can detect four basic indicators: water temperature, conductivity, pH, and dissolved oxygen. The equipment also has expansion space, allowing for the addition of monitoring modules for ammonia nitrogen, turbidity, COD, etc., to meet the monitoring needs of different water bodies.
The buoy-based online water quality monitoring station employs mature and stable detection principles. The pH sensor utilizes an electrochemical salt bridge method, measuring from 0 to 14 pH with an accuracy of ±0.1 pH and ±0.1℃, and a resolution of 0.01. The conductivity sensor uses a contact electrode method, with a range of 0-10000 μS/cm. The dissolved oxygen sensor uses a fluorescence lifetime method, reducing maintenance frequency due to water sample impurities and ensuring data stability during long-term in-situ monitoring. The accompanying data acquisition unit handles the system's data processing, featuring a built-in real-time clock, supporting timed storage of monitoring data and local parameter settings. Data transmission is achieved via 2G and 4G networks, ensuring timely feedback of monitoring information to the backend platform.
The buoy-based online water quality monitoring station's host computer software allows for remote viewing of real-time water and rainfall information. It includes basic functions such as a built-in database, report export, and historical data download. Administrators can also use the software tools to perform in-depth processing and analysis of the stored monitoring data. This monitoring equipment has a wide range of applications, including industrial and agricultural water areas, tourist scenic water bodies, urban rivers, and power station reservoirs, serving multiple tasks such as hydrological monitoring and forecasting, flood control scheduling, water supply management, and geological disaster early warning.
Compared to fixed shore-based monitoring stations, the buoy-based online water quality monitoring station eliminates the need for a computer room construction project, offering greater deployment flexibility. Powered by a solar-powered system combined with batteries, it can operate in open waters without external power sources, reducing subsequent manual maintenance costs and providing continuous and reliable raw monitoring data for routine water environment monitoring.
